With the Ad Astra we want to enable you to reach for the stars.

Ad Astra was the name of the first hydrogen balloon to ascend in 1784 and is the first purebred F3F competition model that CRG has brought onto the market.

With a high degree of prefabrication, we want you to spend the least amount of time on construction to thoroughly polish the leading edge as quickly as possible.

With the precise settings and the perfectly flown center of gravity, the first flight is a piece of cake and requires only a few corrections, depending on your taste.

Thanks to the solid-core construction of the wings, they are fully gas-resistant and thinner than many of the conventional profiles of comparable models. This enables speed on the track in a wide range of conditions - from a light breeze on the slope to a storm on the edge! In the optimum turn, the Ad Astra goes "around the corner" at lightning speed without losing energy and even accelerates.

The model is wide-banded, non-toxic and even fault-tolerant, easy to bring up to height, and can be easily and uncritically adapted to different wing loading. In good conditions, the Ad Astra flies the "Energy Management" turn smoothly and agilely with a dynamic flying style. When the wind decreases, it can be flown very tightly in the turn in order to stay in the narrow upwind band of the slope as long as possible and still maintain good lift.

Thanks to the sophisticated ballasting system, the center of gravity does not change at all or only slightly, and the thinner ballast pieces in the front chamber allow the center of gravity to be shifted forward in gusty conditions.

All in all, our customers get a competitive F3F model with the usual reliability and quality of Composite RC Gliders. Reach for the stars with us! Consistently developed for F3F use, the Ad-Astra shows its strengths.

With its solid-core construction in XPS or Rohacell, a new dimension of strength is achieved at a comparatively low weight.

Built entirely in carbon, the glider can cope with all the demands of F3F competition. Even ballasted up to 4 kg or even 4.8 kg there are no strength problems.

And all this in just one construction method - in just one layup!!! With the Ad-Astra you can reach for the stars on the slope in terms of maneuverability and speed. But it also performs excellently in the F3B mix of endurance and speed flight.

Its very good controllability and flight mechanics allow easy and precise landings. The Ad-Astra is therefore also an extremely robust fun machine suitable for everyday use, which will give you pleasure and enthusiasm over a long period of time.

The solid-core construction means that all rudders are attached at the bottom and covered at the top.

As usual with CRG, you don't have to wait an eternity for the glider.

The pack size is only 1.48 m.
