In 1972, Pilatus bought the license from the Rheintalwerke company, modified the design and started series production under the name PC-11. The first aircraft of this type made its maiden flight on May 5, 1972 and received the registration HB-1100. Only a few glider pilots know the official designation PC-11, the aircraft is generally known as the B4. The B stands for the original developer Basten.


The B4 is a standard class glider and was a popular group airplane due to its all-round properties and robustness.


Based on the flight characteristics of the original, our B4 also has a very good-natured flight behavior. In the thermals it is always uncritical, it is always full in the air and in aerobatics the model can be moved smoothly through all figures.


The spoilers work great to reduce the altitude during the landing approach and the model can be "starved" very nicely without becoming critical.


The pack size is only 2.20 m.
